| TeamWorks 2010: Modern-Day Slavery |
Agency: HandsOn Twin Cities
Description:
Join us as we explore the issue of human trafficking - specifically sex trafficking and labor trafficking in
Minnesota. We
will meet with organizations and presenters actively engaged in confronting this
challenging issue. We will also participate in service activities benefiting local
communities most affected by human trafficking. Come learn more about the issue
and how you can participate in the movement to end what is really a form of modern-day
slavery!
TeamWorks, led by a volunteer Team Leader, provides an in-depth look
into community issues as well as opportunities to engage in meaningful service
projects. Using a small group format (8-12 participants), TeamWorks gives participants
the flexibility to connect with other volunteers and reflect on project
activities.
Participants are strongly encouraged to attend every project, so please
confirm your availability before registering. Please contact Sia Moua at
612.379.4900 ext. 15 or sia@handsontwincities.org
with any questions.
