Agency: HandsOn Twin Cities
Description:

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to volunteer for this project. Centro, a multiservice agency partnering
primarily with Latino and Chicano families in Minneapolis, offers a broad range
of holistic services, among them a food shelf, which receives one or two
substantial deliveries each Tuesday. Volunteers are needed to help unload,
sort, organize, and repackage food for easy redistribution. The food only needs
to be carried a short distance, and the food shelf area itself is not large, so
a team of 3 volunteers can handily manage the project within a couple hours.
Training is provided, and representatives from both Centro and HandsOn Twin
Cities will be onsite to assist throughout the project. Come once to check it
out, and come back weekly if you like it! Learn more about hunger in Minnesota by clicking here. This project is made possible through funding from Greater Twin Cities United Way and has been offered to a select group of their community partner agencies.
