Agency: Rebuilding Together Twin Cities

Description: Rebuilding Together Twin Cities is partnering with the Northside Home Fund and community sponsors to revitalize ten homes in North Minneapolis. The day will begin with a light continental breakfast at Farview Park, where volunteers will sign in and receive their Volunteer t-shirt to be worn that day. They will then depart for the work locations in North Minneapolis via bus, and will be returned to the park at the end of the day. Volunteers will also receive lunch. Rebuilding Together works to preserve affordable housing by bringing volunteers and communities together to rehabilitate the homes of low-income homeowners.

We are seeking volunteers who are professional, skilled, semi-skilled, or unskilled at home repair projects. Past projects have included everything from plumbing repair and window replacement to simple tasks like painting or yard cleanup. Volunteer individually or as a group. Individuals will be teamed with other volunteers. Project date is Sept. 20, 2008.
