SERVICE CORPS for Youth Groups
Imagine a society in which youth are well-informed about pertinent social issues, engaged within their community, and empowered to make a difference in the lives of others. That is what our Service Corps Program is all about.
We can provide training, resource guides, and even some funding to youth groups interested in participating in Service Corps. If you are in middle school, high school, or an adult who works with students in these age groups, learn more by downloading a Service Corps Summary and/or contacting Tom Basquill at tom@handsontwincities.org. But act fast – we are looking for a total of 10 groups to participate in the Summer and early Fall of 2010!

Guide to Youth Volunteer Opportunities
At HandsOn Twin Cities we believe that volunteering starts at an early age! If you haven’t volunteered before, we hope that you will find it challenging and rewarding.
Volunteer projects can range from planting a community garden to serving a meal at a homeless shelter to creating a podcast about racism. Volunteers make a positive difference in their community by transforming organizations, neighborhoods and ultimately, individuals.
Youth volunteers can serve as individuals if they meet an organization’s minimum age requirement. Otherwise, young volunteers can also serve with their family, school, youth group or even organize their own service project.
HandsOn Twin Cities is here to help you find the right volunteer opportunity, provide important information on community issues, and support you throughout your volunteer experience.
Please call us at 612-379-4900 or email (tom@handsontwincities.org) us with any questions, thoughts or suggestions.
