What is
TeamWorks?
TeamWorks
is a program offered by Hands On Twin Cities
to corporate volunteers. It is a hands-on
team-oriented service experience that will
allow you to volunteer and learn with the
same group. Your group will participate in
three to four services projects over a
flexible period of time. Corporate Teamworks
can be customized to fit the needs and
interests of your company, providing a
fulfilling and educational experience for
corporate volunteers.
How can
I participate?
Any
corporate group can get involved! Pick from
a variety of issues, including
homelessness, animals, youth, education,
immigrants and refugees, and
environment. Each corporate team will
have one project leader, as well as a Hands
On Twin Cities staff member who will
customize your TeamWorks experience based on
your needs. Hands On Twin Cities will also
provide guidance throughout the TeamWorks
session. TeamWorks can accommodate anywhere
from 5-12 volunteers.
After you
pick your topic, Hands On Twin Cities will
customize your experience by planning
service projects at 3-4 different
organizations that address your team’s issue
of interest. Through reflection, you’ll
explore ways to respond best to your
community’s needs using the knowledge you
learned, while building a sense of teamwork
with your fellow employees. TeamWorks is
meaningful volunteer action at its best!
