Almost 200
volunteers from Target!
Local and National Target
store managers made a difference at Longfellow
Elementary School in St. Paul on Friday, August 22.

They even painted
a huge world map on the playground.
Volunteers Chose from many different projects including
painting, landscaping, bench building and
replenishing mulch in the playgrounds.
Volunteers who
chose to paint made an impact all over
the school property. They painted new
lines on the blacktop for basketball,
hopscotch and four-square. As well as a
large world map, and a giant
chessboard. While other volunteers
painted "welcome" in different languages
on the sidewalk.
Target volunteers paint
"welcome" in many languages
.
In addition, Target
volunteers got their hands dirty by landscaping along the
school and
weeding the school's peace garden. Even more volunteers
stayed busy by helping build four new benches
for the students, next to the playground where
volunteers added new mulch.
Thanks to the Longfellow
Elementary staff for all their help setting up
this project, and special thanks to all the
Target Volunteers who contributed their time.
