Thank you,
Minnesota!
Because you care so much
about community involvement, our third annual
Volunteer Expo at Mall of America was our
biggest and best yet!

The North
Suburban Chorus - just one of many fantastic
performers at the Expo
Tens of thousands visited the
Expo on Saturday, February 23rd, where they met
with representatives from 100 local nonprofit
organizations. Some signed up to volunteer
right away after hearing about the difference
they could make. Others volunteered on the
spot, spent time at our "On-site Volunteering"
stations with Goodwill/Easter Seals and the
Roseville Area Senior Program.

In addition to our nonprofit
booths, which snaked around one-half of the
ground floor at Mall of America, we had four
hours of on-stage entertainment, including:
-
The Union Mission Gospel
Choir
-
Los Alegres Bailadores -
a traditional Mexican dance troupe
-
A demonstration by the
First Street Recovery Project
-
A Service Dog
demonstration by Helping Paws Minnesota
-
The North Suburban Chorus
-
A Vintage Clothing
Fashion Show presented by Goodwill/Easter

Many thanks to our event
sponsors, our participating organizations, Mall
of America, our event volunteers, our
performers, and especially all of the visitors
for making the third annual Volunteer Expo such
a success. We'll see you next year!
