Hands On Twin
Cities and Metro Schools always make a great
team.
It's a familiar
story that we never get tired of hearing -
dozens of volunteers, led by Hands On Twin
Cities staff members and volunteer leaders,
helped transform a local school in just a few
hours! We sure do love a happy ending.

Before...
On Thursday,
September 27th, more than 50 volunteers from
3M came to Cleveland Junior High School in East
St. Paul for a hard day's (volunteer) work.
Two shifts of volunteers re-landscaped the
school, painted the utility fence, built outdoor
seating near the new landscaping, weeded and
cleaned the track, built new baseball benches,
and painted murals and line games for outdoor
gym classes. It never ceases to amaze us
just how much can be done by a group of
motivated volunteers. This group from
3M, a consistent Hands On Twin Cities
partner and Corporate Month of Service
participant, didn't let us down!

After!
This project was the
second in our series of Corporate Month of
Service projects which bring volunteers from
Twin Cities Corporations into area schools.
Corporate Month of Service partners, such as
3M, recognize that the Twin Cities community
is just that - everyone who lives in the
Twin Cities. Students in St. Paul aren't
just future St. Paul residents; they're the
future leaders for the entire Twin Cities
community. Corporate Month of Service is
about Being the Change to as many people
as possible. And when it comes to our
future leaders, Being the Change today
ensures a better tomorrow.

3M volunteers put
this bench together in record time, then used it
to take a much-deserved break.

Hands On Twin Cities staff handled all the details
of the Cleveland Junior High project and made it a
"turnkey" event! 3M only needed to provide the
volunteers. Hands On Twin Cities staff skillfully
organized materials, and led and encouraged the
volunteers. Thanks for partnering with 3M on this
successful project.

Working with Hands On Twin Cities was incredible!
The work that they did at Cleveland Jr. High was
unbelievable. Not only did the project run smoothly
on the day of the event, HOTC was great to work with
in the planning process. They listened to our
needs, carefully planned all the pieces, and
successfully completed the projects. It was so
impressive!!! They took a lot of the work and
worry off of our hands.
