3M Volunteers painting murals

On October 24th 30 volunteers from 3M were at Battle Creek Middle School to take place in Hands On Twin Cities last 2008 Corporate Month of Service Project.

Volunteers were able to choose between many different project areas. Inside the school there were murals and new bench seats to paint, poetry stones to create, textbooks to sort, and a Teacher Resource Room to organize.

Outside, volunteers could choose between weeding the school's native plant garden, creating a new Sisterhood Garden, or building a fence to protect this new garden area.

All BCMS students were involved with the boys helping paint the bench seats and the girls planting tulips to create a twenty foot long breast cancer awareness ribbon in the school's front lawn.

Special thanks to the staff of Battle Creek Middle School and of course all the 3M volunteers!
