Develop a Service
Project
Hands On Twin Cities
is working to capture the volunteer energy of the
many community members for whom long-term volunteer
commitment isn’t feasible. Given flexibility and
meaningful opportunities, these volunteers have the
potential to make a significant, positive impact in
the community.
In order to provide
these opportunities, Hands On Twin Cities is
partnering with our affiliated nonprofit
organizations to develop projects that volunteers
need attend only once (though welcome to attend as
often as they like).
Currently, groups
of volunteers gather each month to organize
donations at Goodwill, sort medical supplies for
Global Health Ministries, serve a meal at People
Serving People, and play games with seniors at
Presbyterian Homes of Arden Hills and at The Commons
on Marice.
While valuing
projects that are accessible and meaningful to
volunteers and genuinely beneficial to the
community, we strive to make the partnership with
affiliate organizations as helpful and easy as
possible. We do this by managing projects that
expand or support current programming and by taking
responsibility for as much administration as
possible. Every project is managed by a Hands On
Twin Cities staff member or project leader who works
with each organization to develop their project and
recruit and communicate with volunteers.
Do you have a
project idea that could benefit from a group of
volunteers?
Please let us know about it! Fill out the Project
Proposal Form to the right or give us a call to
discuss your opportunity.
