This upcoming season
Minnesota Meeting will focus on three issues
that make headlines everyday and impact
communities throughout Minnesota:
homelessness, youth violence, and
immigration. These issues certainly touch
our lives as parents, employers and community
members, and they are matters of life and death
for the people directly involved. Their impact
is most profound on communities of color and
contributes greatly to the wide gaps in income,
education and health that exist between
Minnesotans of color and white Minnesotans.
Hands On Twin Cities is proud
to help Minnesota Meeting participants take the
next step in confronting these issues through
volunteerism. Each issue link, at right,
will take you to a list of community
organizations in the Twin Cities that strive to
solve these issues through volunteerism.
Click on an organization's name, and you'll see
a list of their volunteer opportunities.
Now that you've heard about
the issues, it's time to act. It's time to Be
the Change.
The Minnesota
Meeting is a program of the
Minneapolis
Foundation
