Ending Homelessness
(Nov. 7, 2007)
Every night,
thousands of children and adults across
Minnesota sleep on friends’ couches, in their
cars, in shelters, or on the streets. But
Minnesota is now at the leading edge of a
national movement to end homelessness, not
simply manage it.
At the Meeting on
November 7, Minnesota Housing Finance
Commissioner Agency Tim Marx will highlight
these statewide and local efforts and provide a
progress report. He will then join a discussion
with Paul Williams, a national housing
development expert, Richard Amos, housing
services director of St. Stephen’s Church, and
Gabrielle Strong, tribal administrator of the
Lower Sioux Indian Community. Participants can
expect to learn specific ways in which they can
help end homelessness in Minnesota.
